All wood is sustainably collected from land in Wisconsin for heating house. Woods included: Ash, Oak, Hickory, Maple, Ironwood, Birch. No pesticides are used on property. 

To fertilizing the garden, lawn, and trees. 

The calcium carbonate, potassium, and minerals are essential for plants/trees and lawn health.  

It works as a liming agent to neutralize acidic soils.

Please do not get it directly on growing plants to prevent the burning of the foliage. 

·        To make pottery.

·        To de-ice walkways and driveways. Wood ash has salt in it. Sprinkle some ash on snow and ice. 

·        To keep slugs and snails away. 

·        For chicken dust baths. 

·        To raise the soil's pH - test the soil first. 

·        Sprinkle it over an oil stain on concrete. 

·        Add a small amount to the compost.

·        Add to Tomatoes. They love potassium—Mix 1/4cup with the soil when planting tomatoes. 

·        To clean the woodstove door - Dip a wet sponge or cloth in wood ash and rub against the door. It pulls the residue right off. 

·        Make Lye - to make natural soap. 

·        Polish metal - Make a paste with wood, ash, and water. Apply to the metal, allow it to sit for a few minutes, and wipe clean.

·                                 Moderation: Use wood ash sparingly. Too much can harm plants.

·                                 Cool Ash: Only use cooled wood ash. Hot ash can damage plants.

·                                 Avoid Acid-Loving Plants: Don’t apply wood ash around acid-loving plants like blueberries or rhododendrons.
